We here at the Suez Canal Medical Students’ Association have cooked up;

SCMSA International Winter School, Suez Canal University,
Egypt

With just the right amount of each of these secret ingredients;

Business: a once in a lifetime opportunity to get hands on experience in Egypt with the chance for 2 weeks clinical rotation in any of the following departments :

Surgery ( General - Urosurgery –Plastic surgery –neuro surgery- orthopedic surgery ) - Anesthesia -Emergency medicine - Internal medicine - Radiology - Obstetrics & gynecology - cardiology -Rheumatology & Rehabilitation - Pediatrics-Clinical pathology

The course will include outpatient clinic attending as well as attending operations
&Pleasure: the opportunity to explore the treasures of Egypt.
& enjoy the wonderful weather in Egypt during winter with the golden sun shining all of the day & temperatures averaging 20 degrees

Time:
2 courses
Course “A” : from 26th of December 2010 till the 8th of January 2011
Course “B” : from 25th of February 2011 till the 11th of March 2011

(Plus an optional 4 days trip to Sharm El Sheik, so the whole thing ends by 12th of January in course A and 15th of March in course B)

Number of Participants:
15 per course “so hurry up reserve your place!”

Deadline for Applications:
Course “A” : 15th of December 2010.
Course “B” : 1st of February 2011.



Course Fees:
360 Euros (early registration)
400 Euros (registration after deadline or upon arrival)

“OFFER: FOR GROUPS OF 3 PERSONS OR MORE 350 EUROS ONLY !! “
“OFFER : FOR GROUPS OF 5 PERSONS OR MORE 330 EUROS ONLY !!

For accompanying persons, (in case of availability of places) fees are:
400 Euros (early registration)
450 Euros (registration after deadline or upon arrival)

The fees shall be 60% refundable in case of cancellations 20 days before the school starts.

The fees will cover:
• Scientific program
• Accommodation & Transportation
• Breakfast & Lunch on all working days
• Welcome package
• 2 days trip to Cairo including Accommodation & transportation
• 2 days trip to Alexandria including Accommodation & transportation
• One Day Trip to El Arish
• Half day trip to Dream Park
• Half day trip to 6th of October war memorials in Sinai
• Winter School CD
• Certificate to those who have completed the course



Required Equipment:
A white coat and a stethoscope. A camera will come in handy as well!

Optional Social Program:
• Optional 3/4 days trip will be organized to either Sharm El sheikh/ Dahab/ Hurghada after the program ends .

Climate and Clothing:
The weather is fine in December and January; the average temperature ranges from 18 to 25°c,with the sun shining most of the day being one of the most beautiful countries during this period of the year.
